Col Solare was established nearly 30 years ago by two influential wine producers: Marchesi Antinori and Chateau Ste. Michelle. Ever since its first vintage in 1995, Col Solare’s mission has been to unite these two viticultural and enological cultures to produce world-class Cabernet Sauvignon that reflect the unique identity of the Red Mountain AVA in Washington State. Col Solare is comprised of about 11 hectares (27 acres) of vineyards planted predominantly to Cabernet Sauvignon.
